Connecticut Center for CB/REBT

Affiliate training center of the Albert Ellis Institute

The Center is a non-profit organization with an educational mission to train individuals in rational emotive behavior therapy (REBT), offer workshops, and produce educational materials. Directed by Lili Daoud and Steve Johnson, both fellows and approved supervisors of the Albert Ellis Institute in Manhattan, the center is designed to offer a three-day primary certificate program in REBT awarding 24 CEU's. The certificate program can be offered at the Center for Cognitive Therapy in Avon or at your location. The center also offers one-day workshops on an array of topics, such as managing anxiety, depression, anger, procrastination, loneliness, etc. Plans are being made to offer observation of live REBT sessions on Friday evenings.

One specialty of the center is offering certificate programs that include teaching and interventions that help counselors/therapists incorporate spirituality into sessions in ways that are relevant to the client's values. Workshops can be offered toward the same end.
